Location. The Hotel Acquario is located in Genoa, Italy, 50 metres from the city centre, and 150 metres from Palazzo Ducale. The distance to the nearest bus stop is 50 metres, and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport is six kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Situated between Genoa's two main train stations, Hotel Acquario is a modern city centre property, accessible by lift. Safe-deposit boxes are located at the 24-hour front desk where an express check-in/check-out service is also in operation. Laundry services can be arranged, and complimentary parking is available.

A complimentary buffet breakfast is served each morning in the hotel bar, which has light decor and a relaxed atmosphere. Drinks and light refreshments are available throughout the day. Room service is available around the clock.

Recreational activities offered in the vicinity include sailing, windsurfing, and fishing. Bicycles and scooters can be hired nearby.

Guestrooms. The 30 air-conditioned guestrooms have light pink decor with modern furniture, and windows that open. Amenities include satellite television, complimentary Internet connections, direct- dial phones, and minibars.

Expert Tip. Genoa Aquarium has 50 tanks containing four million litres of water and more than 1000 species of fish, crustaceans, and mammals from aquatic environments all over the world. Next door, the replica galleon from the Roman Polanski film 'Pirates' combines the look of an authentic pirate ship with fibreglass cannons and plastic cannonballs.

From Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport (GOA):
Distance to Hotel Acquario is six kilometres, approximately 10 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Taxis are available from outside the terminal and cost about 20 EUR to the city centre. The Volabus service runs hourly between the airport and Brignole and Stazione Principe railway stations. Travellers can take the metro, buses, or Trenitalia trains from Stazione Principe to various Italian destinations. Frequent trains run between Genoa and the Italian Riviera resorts. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Genoa city centre is easy to explore on foot. There is an extensive bus network, as well as a limited metro service. An unlimited day travel pass costs 3 EUR. Passes are available from kiosks and AMT ticket offices. Ferries operate from the harbour to many coastal resorts, including Santa Margherita and Rapollo.
