Location. The towering Michelangelo Hotel in Milan, Italy, is 2 blocks from Milan's Stazione Centrale, a 15-minute metro ride to the Duomo. The business district is one kilometre away. The hotel is 200 metres from the airport bus terminal and seven kilometres from Milan's Linate Airport.
Hotel Features. A sculpted steel wall and flatscreen televisions decorate the lobby in the 17- storey Michelangelo Hotel. The hotel has a 24-hour front desk, with multilingual concierge staff to assist with sightseeing trips.

Marble floors and cane chairs furnish the Michelangelo Hotel's Ristorante Ghirlandaio which serves Italian dishes and fine wines for lunch and dinner. Dark wood contrasts with chrome in the contemporary David's Bar, named after Michelangelo's famous sculpture. The bar features a mezzanine level housing several Internet points. The signature cocktail is Pietro's Passion, while light meals include David's Salad, a variation on salade nicoise. A complimentary hot and cold breakfast buffet is served.

The hotel has 1,300 square metres of meeting space, for up to 1,300 people. There is also high-speed Internet access and complimentary newspapers in the lobby.

There is a sauna at the hotel and a fitness centre nearby.

Guestrooms. Granite-topped coffee tables and leather armchairs furnish the Hotel Michelangelo's 306 air-conditioned guestrooms. Rooms are decorated with pine furniture, light stucco walls and glass lamps. Other features include satellite television, Internet connections, minibars, and automated window shutters. Upper-floor rooms enjoy views over Milan and the mountains. Aqua- tiled bathrooms have granite sinks and complimentary toiletries.

Expert Tip. A one-and-a-half kilometre stoll down Via Pisana leads to the Montanelli Gardens and Milan's Modern Art Gallery, home to masterpieces by Van Gogh, Manet, Gaugin and Cezanne.

From Milan Linate Airport (LIN):
Distance to Michelangelo Hotel is seven kilometres, approximately 10 minutes' drive.

Getting there. A taxi to central Milan costs 15 EUR-20 EUR. An airport shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes to Milan's Stazione Centrale, 2 blocks from the hotel. The single fare is 3 EUR. Bus 73 leaves arrivals every 10 minutes for San Babila metro station. The single fare is 1 EUR. Prices are subject to change.

From Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP):
Distance to Michelangelo Hotel is 50 kilometres, approximately 50 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Taxis to central Milan cost 65 EUR-75 EUR. The Malpensa Express train runs every 30 minutes between the airport's train station and the city centre (Cadorna station). Single tickets are approximately 9 EUR, and journey time is 40 minutes. The Malpensa shuttle bus runs to Stazione Centrale every 20 minutes. The fare is 4.50 EUR and journey time is 20 minutes. Shuttle services to other destinations, including Turin and Genova, are available. Prices are subject to change.

Getting around. The hotel is on Via Domenico Scarlatti, 2 blocks from Stazione Centrale. The city centre is easy to explore on foot, and there are pedestrianised areas around the Duomo. A comprehensive network of trams, buses and four metro lines offers efficient travel. Integrated public transport tickets can be purchased at newsagents, metro stations, tobacconists and most coffee bars. Driving is not recommended in Milan's city centre with numerous one-way streets, heavy traffic and limited parking. Illegally parked cars are towed or fined. The hotel has secure, garage parking.

Follow signs for Milan Centro.
Take the A8 motorway and exit at P. le Kennedy Milan.
Follow signs for Stazione Centrale.
The hotel is two blocks from the station.
