Location. The Residenza d'Epoca Pietra di Ponente is located in Ciampino, Italy, in the Castelli Romani Regional Park. Rome is 10 kilometres away, and the airport at Ciampino is three kilometres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. A cream and butter-coloured modern mansion set in extensive grounds, the Residenza d'Epoca is a boutique hotel with panoramic views across to Rome and the surrounding hills. The hotel offers 24- hour room service, air-conditioned public areas, and a lounge bar.

Guests are invited to make a dinner reservation in the Pietra di Ponente restaurant, which is known for its fine dining and use of local ingredients. A complimentary breakfast of regional meats and cheeses and fresh pastries and bread is served either in the guestrooms, the restaurant, or outside on the terrace.

The hotel offers a shuttle bus service to the airport and railway station. Guided tours of Rome are also available.

Guestrooms. The 17 air-conditioned guestrooms are whitewashed, with wooden beams and exposed stone walls. All are decorated individually with bespoke wooden furniture and standard lamps. Amenities include satellite television, Internet connections (surcharge), and minibars. Bathrooms have complimentary toiletries and bathrobes, and there is complimentary bottled water.

Expert Tip. Castel Gandolfo, a small Italian town in Lazio which overlooks Lake Albano and is four kilometres from the hotel, is best known as the summer residence of the Pope.

Distance to Residenza d'Epoca Pietra di Ponente is three kilometres, approximately 10 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The hotel offers a shuttle bus service to and from the airport. Alternatively taxis are also available.

Getting around. There is a shuttle bus to the nearest train station, where trains can be caught to Rome. A car is recommended for exploring the lakes and castles in the surrounding area. Driving into Rome is not recommended.
