Location. The One is located in the centre of Siracusa, on the island of Sicily, Italy, 800 metres from the city's archaeological park. Noto is 25 kilometres from the hotel, and Ragusa is at a 42- kilometre distance. Siracusa train station is four kilometres from the hotel. Hotel Features. The boutique One is a contemporary hotel with glass façade, spread over seven storeys and opening to a lobby area furnished in a chic, modern style. The hotel houses a fitness area, a spa and beauty clinic, and a relaxation area hewn out of rock with a Finnish sauna, jetted tub, and hammam. There is also a solarium, and further amenities include complimentary onsite parking, laundry facilities, and room service.
The One houses a trendy Sushi Bar, and a restaurant area finished in dark wood and serving fusion cooking and regional dishes. The hotel also offers a complimentary buffet breakfast daily.
The hotel houses four meeting spaces, including the One World Rome occupying an adjacent Liberty-style villa.
Guestrooms. The 44 guestrooms boast sleek, contemporary decor with bright white accents. Amenities include air conditioning, wireless Internet, LCD satellite television with DVD players and satellite channels, minibars, hair dryers, and safes. Executive rooms extend to a terrace, and suites are decorated in loft style.
Expert Tip. Noto, 25 kilometres from the hotel, boasts a historic town centre characterised by crumbling Baroque churches, houses and palaces, all with gold-coloured stone facades. Highlights include the Ducezio Palace, the Duomo, and the Villadorata Palace. The town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002.

From Catania Fontanarossa Airport (CTA): Distance to the One is 60 kilometres, approximately 50 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Buses run directly to Syracuse and Taormina. Tickets are available from a booth in front of the terminal building, and must be validated when boarding. Taxis cost around 25 EUR to Catania, 50 EUR to Siracusa and the hotel, and 100 EUR to Taormina. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. An inexpensive rail network links Sicily's larger towns, including Palermo, Messina, Catania, Taormina, and Syracuse. Buses run throughout the towns and many of the smaller villages. A car is recommended for exploring the less touristy areas.
Driving directions. From the airport, take the SS 114 in the direction of Siracusa. Exit for Siracusa Nord and follow directions to Siracusa. Come to Viale Scala Greca and turn left onto Viale Teracati. Turn right onto Viale Tica and then left onto Viale Zecchino. Turn right onto Via Tisia and then left onto Via Senatore Eduardo Di Giovanni. Turn left onto Via Filisto, and continue straight for Via Diodoro Siculo.
