Standing tall, like an elaborate lighthouse on Maryland's Eastern Shore, the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay in Cambridge, Md., is a beacon of light and beauty. This 400-room resort, set on the Choptank River, rests on 342 artistically-landscaped acres that boast an 18- hole championship golf course and a 150-foot slip marina.
The lobby, which features vaulted ceilings, towering columns and a dynamic stone fireplace, becomes an elegant and seductive place to gather when the lights are dimmed. Probably the most outstanding feature that the resort consistently provides is gorgeous views of the land and water, through well-positioned windows throughout the property. Other hotel amenities include four tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pools, a business center offering computer rentals with high-speed Internet, and a full-service European health spa. This property also has a wildlife refuge, featuring 18 acres of vegetation and indigenous animals such as the Great Blue Heron and American Bald Eagle. A 2.3-mile jogging path circles the perimeter of the resort, and water enthusiasts can enjoy recreational activities such as fishing, sailing, boating and canoeing.

From Baltimore-Washington International Airport:
Head west on I-195 and take exit 1 for MD-170 N. Continue on MD- 170/Aviation Blvd to I-97 S. Proceed about 15 miles on I-97 and exit onto US-50 E. Cross the Bay Bridge and continue about 40 miles to Cambridge. Proceed through Cambridge to the intersection of Church Creek Rd on the right and Heron Blvd on the left. Turn left into the resort entrance on Heron Blvd.

From Salisbury Regional Airport:
Follow the signs for US-50 and head west. Continue on US-50 W for about 30 miles to Cambridge. Proceed to the intersection of Church Creek Rd on the left and Heron Blvd on the right. Turn right into the resort entrance on Heron Blvd.

Rental cars are typically used to reach the resort, and they are available online.
