Location. The Taj Boston overlooks the Boston Public Garden's ponds and flora in Boston, Mass. Boston Common is located one block from the hotel. Hatch Shell and the theater district are positioned two blocks away, while Copley Place, Freedom Trail and the Hynes Convention Center are within one mile of the property.
Hotel Features. The Taj Boston's lobby reflects traditional design enhanced with displays of original art and antiques. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared at The Café, which overlooks Newbury Street through a wall of windows. This eatery prepares Chef Franck Steigerwald's New England favorites, while blending Italian and French influences. The Lounge provides spirits and silver-and-china tea service, featuring teas custom-blended for Taj Boston. Wood paneling, garden views, a fireplace and live piano music enhance The Bar. The business center provides computer stations, courier services and international news. Wireless Internet access is available for a fee throughout the hotel. A complimentary, 24-hour fitness center contains television-mounted cardiovascular machines, weight-training equipment and free weights. Massages may be scheduled through the Clefs d'Or concierge staff.

Guestrooms. Antique-style furnishings, imported fabrics and crystal chandeliers decorate each of this 16-story hotel's 273 guestrooms. The room's color palette reflects tones of blue, gold, celadon green, beige and soft rose. Beds are draped with 300-thread count Italian Frette linens. Select accommodations afford views of the Boston skyline. Bathrooms boast shower/tub combinations with marble bathtubs. Bathrobes are spa quality. Rooms contain minibars. Wireless Internet access is available for a fee.

Expert Tip. From technology butlers to fireplace butlers, a multitude of staff members are on hand to assist with guests' needs. Fireplace butlers can assist with selecting logs that will emit the wood's individual natural aroma from the fireplaces. Room butlers draw baths, and technology butlers can assist with computer challenges.
