Location.Housed in a converted 18th-century mansion, the Hotel Roemer is a city-centre boutique hotel opening to a trendy, modern interior and located just 200 metres from the buzzing square, Leideseplein. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is 15 kilometres away, and takes approximately 30 minutes to reach by car.
Hotel Features.The modern brick façade of the Hotel Roemer opens into a contemporary-design lobby area where guests can relax and enjoy cocktails, drinks and light meals, and which features a fireplace and extends to private garden. The lobby also houses two computers with complimentary Internet access, and further amenities include airport transfers (surcharge), a boardroom, a library, dry cleaning services and laundry facilities.

Guestrooms.The 23 guestrooms feature sleek, contemporary decor in neutral shades with crisp, white linen. Amenities include air conditioning, LCD televisions with satellite channels, DVD players, speakers for MP3 players, direct-dial phones, minibars, coffee makers, safes and desks. Natural-stone bathrooms are complete with jetted tubs or walk-in rain showers, complimentary toiletries, bathrobes, slippers and hair dryers.

Expert Tip.The Anne Frank House, located one kilometre from the hotel, is a museum dedicated to the life of the Jewish wartime diarist who hid from the Nazis. Visitors can see the secret annexe where the family lived, as well as exhibitions dedicated both the Frank family and persecution in general.

Retningsanvisninger

Getting there.There is a railway station in the terminal's central hall, under Schiphol Plaza; direct trains run to Amsterdam Centraal Station approximately every 15 minutes. From here, take the tram 1, 2 or 5 to Leidseplein for the hotel. Schiphol Travel Taxis are available from outside the arrivals hall and cost approximately 40 EUR to the hotel. Public buses also run regularly to Amsterdam and other cities. Much of Amsterdam can be explored on foot although trams run throughout the city. More adventurous visitors may wish to hire bicycles.

Driving directions.From the airport, take the A4 (E10) to Amsterdam, exiting at S-106. At the end of the exit, turn right and continue over the Surinameplein roundabout. Pass the bridge and turn left onto the Overtoom. Turn right at the end of the Overtoom and then second right into Tesselschadestraat.
