Location. Okura Hotel Amsterdam is a modern hotel with spa, situated on the banks of the Amstel Canal near the World Trade Center in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The hotel is close to the city's financial and entertainment districts. The Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank House and Concert Hall are within three kilometres, while the shops of PC Hooftstraat are one-and-a-half kilometres away.
Hotel Features. The Japanese-owned Okura Hotel Amsterdam is situated around a network of canals and centuries-old houses. Canal cruises and water taxis are available from the hotel's private jetty.

Guests can enjoy some of the city's finest dining at the hotel's Michelin-starred Le Ciel Bleu restaurant on the 23rd floor, which has panoramic views over Amsterdam. Japanese restaurant Yamazato overlooks the Japanese Garden while Le Camelia Brasserie serves French and international dishes. Sazanka Teppenyaki Restaurant dishes up Japanese specialities. From April to October, snacks are served on the summer terrace of La Serre conservatory lounge overlooking the canal.

Okura Hotel Amsterdam has wireless Internet access, a business centre, and meeting and conference rooms with secretarial services.

The hotel spa features a 60-foot indoor pool, spa tub, sauna and modern multi-gym with personal trainers. Tachibana Clinic offers jetlag treatments and massages. Bike rental is available from reception.

Guestrooms. Decorated in contemporary style, Okura Hotel Amsterdam's 301 guestrooms are spread over 23 floors, all with city views. Rooms have interactive satellite television, air-conditioning and wireless Internet access as well as minibars and safes. Bathrooms have bath/shower combinations and slippers.

Retningsanvisninger

From Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS):
Distance to Okura Hotel is 8 miles, approximately 15 minutes' drive.

Getting there. A railway station is located under Schiphol Plaza, in the central hall of the terminal. Every 15 minutes a direct train runs to Amsterdam Central Station. Shared Schiphol Travel taxis can be found outside the arrivals hall. The cars can seat up to eight people and cost around 19 EUR per person. Private taxis into Amsterdam city centre cost approximately 40 EUR. Public buses frequently run to Amsterdam and other destinations. Buses 197 and 370 go to central Amsterdam and Amsterdam Zuid. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Okura Hotel is located on Ferdinand Bolstraat in the south side of the city. Amsterdam can easily be explored by foot. However, there are convenient bus, tram and metro services running through the city and outside areas. Cycling is also a popular way to see Amsterdam. There are taxi ranks at the central station. Driving within the canal ring is discouraged.

Driving directions. From the Ring Amsterdam (A10):
Take the RAI (S109) exit and cross the traffic lights towards RAI/Centrum.
Following signs for Zuid (S109), carry straight on, passing the RAI congress centre on the left, and take the right-hand lane into Scheldestraat.
Go straight at the traffic lights and the Hotel Okura is on the right, 500 metres further on.
