Location. Housed in a landmark turn-of-the century property, the Hotel Continental is an historic hotel situated in the city-centre, 300 metres from the City Hall and three kilometres from the Munch Museum. Oslo- Gardermoen Airport (OSL) is situated 47 kilometres from the hotel, and takes approximately 40 minutes to reach by car.
Hotel Features. The hotel's interior features a distinguished art collection. Guests can enjoy discounted use of facilities at a fitness centre two blocks away, and further amenities include garage parking (surcharge), 24-hour room service and dry cleaning facilities. The hotel houses nine conference rooms with a range of audio-visual equipment, and guests can ask the multilingual concierge service for any sightseeing tips and reservation assistance.

The Hotel Continental offers a number of dining options: the Theatercafeen is an historic, Viennese-style café hung with portraits of patrons and Norwegian cultural figures and serving a range of local and international dishes; Dagligstuen is a modern, English-style lobby bar hung with prints by Edward Munch, serving a range of cocktails, drinks and light refreshments and offering wireless Internet; Steamen is a sidewalk café with maritime influenced decor and outdoor seating during the summer, offering snacks, drinks and light refreshments, and Foxx is an informal, trendy sidewalk café with outdoor seating during the summer, serving a selection of light meals.

Guestrooms. The 154 guestrooms are individually decorated in either traditional or sleek, contemporary styles. Amenities include Internet connections, satellite television with pay movies, direct-dial phones, minibars, safes and desks. Bathrooms provide hair dryers.

Expert Tip. Vigelandsparken, situated three kilometres from the hotel, forms part of Oslo's oldest public park and consists of more than 200 sculptures by Gustav Vigeland using granite, bronze and wrought iron. The park also affords panoramic city views.
