Location. The contemporary Hotel Alexandra is located in central Barcelona, Spain, surrounded by the upmarket boutiques of the Eixample district and two blocks from Gaudi's La Pedrera (Casa Mila). The lively promenades of Las Ramblas, the Picasso Museum and La Barceloneta beach are within two-and-a-half kilometres. Barcelona El Prat Airport (BCN) is 13 kilometres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. The 1987 Hotel Alexandra features French windows and balconies across its facade. Guests can relax with complimentary international newspapers on sofas in the lobby.

L'Altell Restaurant offers buffet breakfasts, and a seasonal menu of Mediterranean cuisine for lunch and dinner. Drinks and snacks are served all day at the quiet Lounge Bar on the mezzanine level.

The hotel offers a boardroom for up to 8 people and a banqueting hall for receptions of up to 100 people. AXB Restaurant also features private function rooms. A high-speed Internet connection is available in the lobby (surcharge).

Guestrooms. The Hotel Alexandra's 109 air-conditioned, sound-proofed guestrooms are decorated in soft, neutral shades with cherrywood furnishings. Rooms include minibars, laptop- sized safes, LCD televisions and complimentary wireless Internet. The marble bathrooms have vanity shelves and complimentary toiletries.

From Barcelona El Prat Airport (BCN):
Distance to Hotel Alexandra is 13 kilometres, approximately 25 minutes' drive.

Getting there. There is a train station a short walk away from the airport terminals. The RENFE train runs between the airport and Barcelona's centre every half an hour. The fare is 3 EUR for a single ticket. There is an Aerobus service operating to Placa de Catalunya every 12 minutes, costing 6.50 EUR for a return ticket. There are taxi ranks in front of the terminal buildings, and the fare to the city centre is approximately 25 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. The Hotel Alexandra is located two blocks from Gaudi's La Pedrera (Casa Mila) and one kilometre from Las Ramblas. The integrated metro and bus system in Barcelona is a cheap, efficient way to explore the city. The nearest metro stations to the hotel are Diagonal and Passeig de Gracia. Validate tickets in machines prior to boarding. A valet parking service is available at the hotel (surcharge).
