Location. Originally constructed in London, England in 1860, the Commodore Hotel reflects the graceful architectural lines of the Victorian era. This hotel stands along a tree-lined square adjacent to Hyde Park, and is positioned one kilometre from Portobello Market.
Hotel Features. This former townhouse displays Victorian antiques throughout the hotel. High tea is served in the lobby lounge, which is the focal point for the hotel's antique collection. This property serves complimentary continental breakfasts each morning. Lancaster Gate Restaurant prepares English and Mediterranean fare, including Spanish tapas. The Red Bar displays traditional British ambience with leather sofas and deep-crimson walls hung with historic black-and-white London scenes. The bar serves an extensive selection of fine wines. A complimentary 24-hour fitness room houses full-length mirrors, free weights, a rowing machine and a treadmill. The reception desk is attended 24 hours a day, and staff offer business services, and tour and reservation assistance.

Guestrooms. The Commodore Hotel offers 79 air-conditioned guestrooms and suites. Guestroom amenities include high-speed Internet access for a fee, laptop-compatible, in-room safes and satellite television. Rooms include minibars and coffeemakers. Private bathrooms contain granite vanities, showers or shower/tub combinations, and are stocked with Neutrogena toiletries.

Getting there. Guests can take the Heathrow Express train to Paddington Station. Travel time is approximately 15 minutes and trains go every 15 minutes. The hotel is a ten minute walk away. Or take the A2 Airbus from Heathrow direct to Lancaster Gate. The bus stop is a one minute walk away from the hotel.



Getting around. The easiest way to get around London is by using the Underground or bus services. The closest underground station to the hotel is Lancaster Gate.

London charges congestion zone fees within clearly designated areas of city. Those who operate vehicles within these zones are assessed daily fees that apply Mondays through Fridays.

The money-saving Oyster Card is a smartcard that stores up to 90 pounds of pay-as-you-go credit. It can be used on the Tubes, buses, DLR, trams and select national rail services throughout London. Oyster Cards are less expensive than single fares, and daily price capping automatically calculates the least expensive fare for single-day journeys. Oyster Cards can be purchased at the Oyster website, most Tube station ticket offices, at Oyster Ticket Stops, at select National Rail ticket offices, at select London Travel Information Centres, and by telephone at 0845 330 9876.
