Location. The Golden Well Hotel is located in the Little Quarter, Prague, Czech Republic, 150 metres from St Nicolas Church, 300 metres from the Charles Bridge and 500 metres from Malostranska metro station. The Old Town Square is 900 metres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Nestled in the rose garden beneath Prague Castle, the Golden Well is a Renaissance house offering views over the rooftops of the Little Quarter. The lobby features flagstone floors, a sweeping oak staircase, and period furniture. Services include currency exchange, limited-hours room service, and airport transfers. Massage treatments are available on request. Other amenities include complimentary newspapers and secure valet parking (surcharge).

Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the Golden Well's Terasé U Zlate Studne restaurant serves traditional Czech fare and international dishes with a French influence. It offers panoramic views of Prague and opens onto an upper terrace that offers direct access to Prague Castle. A complimentary breakfast is available each morning.

The Golden Well offers complimentary access to the fitness facilities and steam room at its sister hotel, 500 metres away.

Guestrooms. There are 19 rooms built over four floors at the Golden Well Hotel, all with period decor with oak floors and doors, Egyptian cotton sheets, rich fabrics, and original Richelieu replicas of furniture from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. All rooms offer cable television, multi-line phones, CD/DVD players, complimentary wireless Internet access, and minibars. Bathrooms feature heated floors and come equipped with bathrobes, telephones, and complimentary Molton Brown toiletries. In-room massage can be arranged on request. The wake-up service includes complimentary tea and coffee.

From Prague Ruzyne Airport (PRG):
Distance to the Golden Well Hotel is 12 kilometres, approximately 25 minutes' drive.

Getting there. From the airport, take bus number 119 to Dejvicka metro station. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes, and single tickets cost 20 CZK (1 EUR). Take the metro from here and get off at Malostranska station. Walk from the station though Valdstejneska Street, towards Malostranse Square. Turn right up the hill to Snemovni Street. Alternatively, registered taxis wait outside the Arrivals hall and cost about 600 CZK (22 EUR) to the hotel. Minibuses depart from outside the Arrivals hall and run to Namesti Republiky square, in the city centre. A single fare is 90 CZK. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Prague's historic centre is compact and easy to explore on foot, as many roads are pedestrianised. There is an efficient and inexpensive public transport system, including trams, buses, metro, and a funicular railway. Tickets are available from tobacconists, stations, and many hotel reception desks, and can be used on all modes of transport. Five of the major metro stations have information offices, with schedules, maps, and directions.

Driving directions. From the airport, drive towards the city centre along Evropska Street.
At the main roundabout, take Svatoviska Street.
Turn left into Milady Horakove Street.
After 600 metres, turn right into Badeniho Street.
Turn right towards U Svateho Jifi Square and continue along Tommasska Street.
Turn right at Malostranska Square, and right again into Snemovni Street.
