Around 300 trains a day stop at the Düsseldorf Airport Rail Station, which is located directly on a major axis of the European railway network. A monorail connects the railway station and the terminal building. Trains run directly from the airport to Gelsenkirchen station approximately every 30 minutes. The bus station is located in front of central Arrivals, where taxis can also be found. Driving directions: From Dusseldorf Airport, take the A44 and exit onto the A52, following signs for for Dusseldorf Flughafen. Continue for 25 kilometres. Exit onto the A40, following signs for Dreieck Essen- Ost. Continue for five kilometres and then take the Gelsenkirchen exit. Follow the B227 for three kilometres.
