Location. The Hotel Silencium is located in Cologne-Bruck, Germany, ten kilometres from the centre of Cologne. Cologne Arena is six kilometres away and Brueck Mauspfad station is 800 metres from the hotel. Cologne-Bonn Konrad Airport is eight kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Set in a quiet area amid lush greenery, the Hotel Silencium is housed in a modern four-storey property with white facade. The hotel has a sun terrace and a glass-roofed conservatory, a multilingual concierge service, wireless Internet access, and complimentary onsite parking. The hotel also operates a complimentary shuttle to and from the Cologne Fair.

A complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily, and can be eaten on the terrace during warmer weather.

Guestrooms. The 70 guestrooms feature bright, modern decor with crisp, white linen and pale wood furnishing. Amenities include satellite television, direct-dial phones, wireless Internet access, and minibars. Bathrooms include hair dryers and bathrobes.

Expert Tip. Visitors to Wuppertal, located 52 kilometres from the hotel, can watch a show at Pina Bausch's Tanztheater, visit Friedrich Engels' house, and view 19th- and 20th-century art at the Von der Heyt Museum. The town is also home to fine examples of Art Nouveau and Bauhaus architecture.

From Cologne-Bonn Konrad Airport (CGN):
Distance to the Hotel Silencium is 8 kilometres, approximately 10 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Regional S-Bahn and high- speed trains run from the airport railway station to Cologne Hauptbahnhof (central station) twice an hour. A single ticket costs 2.10 EUR and the journey takes 18 minutes. Alternatively, hire cars or taxis are available at the airport. A typical taxi fare is approximately 22 EUR. Prices are subject to change.

Getting around. The centre of Cologne can be easily explored on foot. Schildergasse, Hohe Strasse and Breite Strasse are pedestrianised and most main attractions are located around the Altstadt, on the left bank of the Rhine. A transferable ticket (VRS) entitles travellers to use all transport facilities, including the underground, buses, trams, and RB (RegionalBahn), RE (RegionalExpress) and S (S-Bahn) trains. Train-only tickets can also be purchased. Both types of tickets can be purchased from vending machines at the city's train stations. Only VRS tickets can be bought from tram, bus and underground stops.

Driving directions. From the airport, take the Bensberg/Rosrath exit and continue to the right, in the direction of Bergisch Gladbach.
After three kilometres, turn left towards Koln- Bruck.
At the traffic lights in Bruck, turn right onto the B55 (Olpener Strasse) in the direction of Bergisch Gladbach- Refrath.
The hotel is 400 metres up on the left.
